BMWCCA Oktoberfest, the annual BMW club parade week at Road Atlanta.
Friday October 2, 2009
Qualified 10th with a lap time of 1:35.8
Finished 4th overall and 3rd in class. Best Lap 1:34.7
First race was more fun than imagined. Started 10th and sent back to 14th by turn 3. 11th by lap 3 when a black flag came out and finished 4th overall- 2 seconds behind 3rd and making hay.

Qualified 8th with a lap time of 1:35.1
Finished 8th overall and 6th in class. Best Lap 1:34.4
God was providing parts and people to help with minor repairs 10 minutes prior to getting on the grid. I received a penalty for short pit stop violation because of a stopwatch problem, but I made an awesome pro pass under the bridge at turn 12. Thanks to God, thanks to my wife and family, thanks to the organizers and volunteers, and thanks fellow racers for a fabulous first race weekend! Yeehaaa!
